Project Overview

BayanAid is a web-based community complaint and reporting system developed for Barangay Manggahan. The system aims to modernize the traditional manual complaint process by providing residents with an efficient, transparent, and accessible platform to report community concerns.

Background of the Study

The Philippine government establishes a barangay as its smallest administrative and political division, which serves as the main connection point between citizens and the government. Barangay Manggahan currently relies on manual submission of complaints and in-person reporting, which often leads to delays, lost paperwork, and inefficient service delivery.

Project Objectives

General Objective: To develop a Web-Based Barangay Complaint and Reporting System for Barangay Manggahan to improve the efficiency, accessibility, and transparency of complaint management.

Specific Objectives:

  • To identify and gather the requirements of the system, including complaint types, user roles, and workflow processes
  • To design and develop a web-based platform for filing, tracking, and managing complaints electronically
  • To implement system features that allow residents to submit complaints online and receive real-time updates
  • To evaluate the system's usability, functionality, and effectiveness in improving complaint management
